I learned that city hall was made the way it is for certain reasons. We saw a lot of different statues that were dedicated to people and/or events. My favorite statue was the one that was made for the holocaust. We stopped and observed the Civil War Memorial. Another statue that we saw was the William Shakespeare memorial, it was directly across the street from the library. The colored soldiers memorial were looking up at lady Liberty as a symbol of hope. The dog Saddie came with us on the trip. Love Park is nationally and internationally known for skateboards. We also learned about how public places like Logan and East Squares were used as execution sites and public punishment venues. When we went to Logan Square we saw the Swan Fountain, there were three people in the middle of the fountain that represented the Schuylkill River, Wissahickon River, and the Delaware River. Overall the trip was interesting but the walk was too long.
